in Winter '96-'97 and subsequent repair. The slide pushed the river into
the opposite bank, threatening homes. The riprap was built to protect the
homes, but without vegetation. A few years after installation, an attempt
was made to revegetate the riprap. The later photos were taken in 2004,
showing that the area has naturally revegetated with alder. |
